Trying to get a quote for a timing belt job and I've officially lost patience with the whole process. Called seven places, two didn't answer, three gave me wildly different numbers, one asked me to bring the car in just to give an estimate, and one quoted me something so low I'm fairly sure they misunderstood the job. My afternoon is gone and I'm no closer to booking anything. A friend mentioned 800sayara.com when I complained about this, said it's a site where you can look up different services without the endless phone calls, so I might give that a go tonight. Honestly at this point I just want to compare a few options side by side and make a decision instead of playing phone tag. How do you all handle this? Do you just pick one and commit or do you actually shop around every single time?
